Our Funding

A majority of our funding comes from grassroots donations from individuals in Astoria who want to support their neighbors and help us build a community space on Steinway St. We have received a few grants from some select foundations and corporations, who have offered us grants that wouldn't require us to compromise on our mutual aid model of community organizing. 

In addition, we share our community center on Steinway St with workers from Astoria Worker Project, and they contribute to our rent while they stay with us. Read more about them on their site, and keep an eye out for when they open their own workers' center here in Astoria!
