NYCHA ​Pop Ups

You can also find us at community events at some of the NYC Housing Authority developments in Astoria & Long Island City. We bring meals or groceries, clothing from the Free Store, and books from the Rolling Library. Thank you to The People’s Bodega for trucking our supplies to and from the pantry for these events!

Note that because these events are outdoors, they are sometimes cancelled due to to bad weather! 

All are welcome to attend these events, not just residents of the NYCHA buildings, especially if these locations are more convenient for you than our location on Steinway St. 

Astoria Houses
Every other Tuesday, 12-1pm

Every other Tuesday, we pop up outside of the Astoria Houses Community Center at 4-05 Astoria Blvd. You can check our volunteer schedule to see whether it's an on or off week.

Queensbridge Houses
Fridays 12-1pm

On Fridays, you can find us outside the Jacob A. Riis Neighborhood Settlement at 10-25 41st Avenue, along with Transform America and QB Community Builders.
